Tracy Mason, NP

Tracy started out her career in psychiatry over 15years ago working with children, adolescents, and adults with mental illnesses in a variety of settings, including inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics,
group homes, and community-based programs which was the foundation of her career path towards becoming a registered nurse and ultimately a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
Upon graduating with her Bachelors in Nursing, Tracy began working as Registered Nurse in an intensive care unit where she witnessed firsthand the gap between medical and psychiatric care, and
how the mind/body connection is often ignored. These gaps in care encouraged Tracy to pursue her
education further and obtain her Masters of Science in Nursing from Azusa Pacific University and become board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric Mental
Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). As a PMHNP, Tracy specializes in holistic treatment of adolescents, adults, and geriatric individuals with depression, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders, and attention disorders. Along with staying up to date with the most
current practices, Tracy is also a strong advocate for empowering nurses and she fiercely believes that nurses should play a pivotal role in shaping modern health care.
“I believe in creating individualized plans of care that value client’s involvement, interprofessional collaboration, and evidenced-based practice. My goal is for my clients to feel empowered to treat their
illness though supportive education in a stigma free environment.”
